Rosemary enjoys participating in her community’s organizations.
Since moving to Port Stanley, Rosemary has served as convenor of the annual art show for the Port Stanley Artists’ Guild and also guild secretary. She is presently president of the Guild. She chaired the first Doors Open for Sparta and Port Stanley, and has been a member of Heritage Port, and Communities in Bloom. She also served on the executive of the Port Stanley Festival Theatre.
She opened a store in Port Stanley called Memoryworks which highlighted the history of Port Stanley, and operated Memoryworks as an on-line store for seven years. Upon the closing of her website, Rosemary has donated her collection to the YWCA, Port Stanley Girl Guides, Sparta and District Historical Society and Forge and Anvil Museum and the Stork Club Museum and Big Band Hall of Fame .
In past years, Rosemary has received several awards from Port Stanley Artists’ Guild. Rosemary’s photography was used to publicize Doors Open for several years. One of Rosemary’s collages was presented to the family of Johnny Downs, the first inductee into the Stork Club Hall of Fame. In Florida, her collaborative work for the City of Okala “Culture Builds Inspiring Spaces” show won second prize.
